Milled Parts

Milling is the machining process where the work piece is kept stable and, by using rotary cutters, material is removed from the work piece advancing (or feeding) in a direction at an angle with the axis of the tool.

In general, all nickel and cobalt based alloys can be milled in similar ways as stainless steel alloys like AISI 316, although cobalt content hardens the alloy and nickel content has impact on the length of the mill chips. PHYNICX alloys are milled for relatively simple up to micron precision level parts.
